|
|
Greetings.
I've been asked if NTLogon "uses Credentials to access the Active Directory and if it uses NTLMv2 or Kerberos". I thought I should check with you before giving my answer. Another concern is if it will work with the Windows Server 2003 Active Directory permissions, but I assume that's not an issue.
Thanks,

NTLogon calls the native Windows COM objects for handling network login & authentication. So whatever Windows supports natively is what it would use. I'm not sure I know the answer to what that would be but if you run the question by any MCSE they should be able to advise you.
As for security policies and permissions, we include a test application that comes with the plug-in that you can run on the computer that does the logon call that will tell you if it has the correct policies setup for use. If it does, then it would have the rights to login to any server on the domain.
Unfortunately we cannot give any further information regarding Windows networking in relation to support of the plug-in, and suggest directing the question(s) to any MCSE qualified network technician.
